- Until the year 1966 my main interests were reading and collecting comic books (Superman in particular)Then I started listening to the radio here in San Bernardino. I listened to KFXM and KMEN and a new hobby started. Not just listening to the radio, but getting involved by wondering what new song was coming out, talking to the DJs, winning contests and of course collecting records and just loving the music I heard on the radio along with the radio station and DJ's. This became a big interest in my life. Now 40 years later, it's not much different.

Where was it located (area).
This was an oldies station from about 1986 until Aug 1992. The studios were in San Bernardino(4th street)in the same building as KCKC 1350 am, (with the transmitter site in Lake Arrowhead). In August 1992 it simulcasted KCKC AM/FM for about 6 months, became V103 playing R & B siualcasting with a LA station. Now it's alternative rock X1039.
Most people remember KBON (KRNO) 1240 easy listening in the 60s/70s.
Heck yes! I used to do promos for "mercer in the morning" on sat with my dad. LOL Thanx for the memory.
