Underground Vault of Records, Music and all kinds of Stuff

A little bit of this...a little bit of that. Mostly having to do with music, records, and anything I have an interest in. Comic books, too if I get around to that. My other blog KFXM Tiger Radio and K/MEN 129 in Dougs' Stuff Room is radio and radio related almost exclusive. Trying to spread out to other things here. Showing othr things in Doug's Stuff Room.

The "First" Single and A Rare Single

After collecting Superman comic books, I started to collect records. The first single I bought was appropriate. Batman Theme by Marketts. It was no longer on the charts, it was in the cheapie bin at Lyle's Record City. 39 cents plus tax. And yes, my name and initials went on the record and sleeve.
Wipeout by The Surfaris on the Princess Label. Bought this in the last few years. I think I paid a quarter for it at a garage sale.

About Me

My photo
KFXM Tiger Radio and K/MEN 129 in Doug's Stuff Room
Until the year 1966 my main interests were reading and collecting comic books (Superman in particular)Then I started listening to the radio here in San Bernardino. I listened to KFXM and KMEN and a new hobby started. Not just listening to the radio, but getting involved by wondering what new song was coming out, talking to the DJs, winning contests and of course collecting records and just loving the music I heard on the radio along with the radio station and DJ's. This became a big interest in my life. Now 40 years later, it's not much different.
