A little bit of this...a little bit of that. Mostly having to do with music, records, and anything I have an interest in. Comic books, too if I get around to that. My other blog KFXM Tiger Radio and K/MEN 129 in Dougs' Stuff Room is radio and radio related almost exclusive. Trying to spread out to other things here. Showing othr things in Doug's Stuff Room.

I never did like the novelty
records on top forty radio.
Always felt they were a
distraction to the regular
fare. But then, it was pop
radio and if the audience wanted
it it would be played.
I agree! That's why I liked the Dr. Demento show.
You could hear all the novelty / strange songs one day each week. But some of them were hits, and they were played on Top 40 radio.
With the Dr. D show you could just listen for the fun of it!
I also enjoyed Dr. Demento on his Sunday night KMET program in the 70's.
I haven't seen anything I recognize as a 4-Track tape on your page. Are there any 4-Tracks in your collection or did you avoid that technology (mis)step?
John from Fontana (back then)
I never bought 4 tracks....until recently, when I found some interesting ones at the swapmeet. If I can get my scanner functioning correctly, I will pull them out and post them
