You can tell I did my record shopping at Two Guys in the early 70s. Best price in town. I think White Front was 69 cents for new singles at that time.

columbia record club
The Columbia Record Club has been around for a long time. They put out exclusie records for their members, usually a compiltion of hits, or reissues of deleted albums.
Usually the compiations had a wide variety of songs. Some hits, some cover versions, some good, some bad.
Nowadays you may find them at garage sales or thrift stores.
One series they did was headliners for the year.
I decided to make the ultimate headliners '66For the first time on CD headliners '66, with the actual headliners from Columbia Records in 1966.
Unttil I put this compilation together I didn't realize Columbia and Epic had so many hits in 1966.
